According to the J-List web site news The Glico Confectionery Company has proclaimed that today is "Pocky Day". Supposedly they did this becuase the numbers 11/11 look like Pocky sticks. Sounds look a good reason to eat too much Pocky to me! Here's the page listing all their japanese snacks and candy.
