I will keep trying to get it set up for folks on LJ. When it works, it should be pretty slick. And it will make it easier for you folks to make comments (not like anyone comments on this blog anyways).

TypeKey
Well, after having an explosion of comment spam on my account I've finally set it so that you have to register with TypeKey in order to make comments. I held out for as long as I could, but finally gave in. One hope I have now is that now that Six Apart owns LiveJournal maybe they'll find a way to let LiveJournal users register their accounts with TypeKey. Making it easier for them to leave comments on Movable Type based blogs.

I've Been Noticed?
A few friends of mine have been getting trackback spam for a while now and I still didn't quite believe it really existed. Until today. The spammers have finally discovered that I can be pinged. Luckily mt-blacklist seems to be catching at least a bit of it. It still annoys me though.

iTMS
I've started a new category for writing about iTMS, both the good and the bad. Though lately there's been a lot of the bad as far as customer service.

del.icio.us links
Yesterday I added the last 10 links I've posted to del.icio.us to the right hand column. I'm going to use this for stuff that just seems interesting, but I really don't have much of a comment on. You can also subscribe to the rss for my links.

My New Fangled Blogroll
One of the first things I've posted to my wiki is a short article on how I did my new blogroll (down on the left). It's a bit of PHP/CSS/Javascript code that all works to make the expandable folders. Comments are welcome and appreciated.

life - wikified
After a few false starts I've started up my own personal wiki. In the end I decided that MoinMoin would be the best choice for me, since it is fairly small and simple. TikiWiki was interesting, but just way too much for a small personal wiki. Now I just need to make some themes. to make it fit in with the rest of my site. Anyways, you can get there via the link on the left, or by clicking here.
There really isn't that much in there yet. But I'm planning to use it for random information I want to keep track of. And if you want to contribute at all just let me know (everyone has read permission unless I grant them more).

Screwing Up Templates
Bah, I really need to test templates more before doing a publish entire site.
Update: One of these days I'll get it right.

Testing out ecto 2
I just grabbed the beta for ecto version 2 and this is my first post with it. ecto has been a favorite of mine since it was called Kung-Log way back when. Each version has been a nice step up from the one before. I'm also going to add the ecto badge to the right.

Redesign in the Works
I've been working on a redesign for this site all day and think I finally have a home page at a point I like it. The only issue I'm having right now is that it doesn't seem to render right in Safari. I know it's an issue with the clear:both, but I'm not quite sure what to do about it. It does render just fine in Firefox though. I've pushed the new style live so if anyone has any suggestions let me know. I also haven't tested it under IE (and I'm kind of dreading doing that).

Upcoming Anime DVD Releases
I decided to play around with iCal today and found myself entering all the upcoming anime DVD releases into it (through 9/7/2004) based on the information at AnimeonDVD.com. I published it so that it can be viewed via the web or subscribed to in iCal (I think Mozilla Calendar lets you do this also, but I'm not sure).
I'll try and keep this updated with around a month's worth of information.

New Section
This weekend my mom was going through boxes of books from when my grandmother's house was sold. While doing so she found lots of crazy old cookbooks that look like they belong in The Gallery of Regrettable Food. My favorite of the things she found was a book put out by Ballantine beer on how to throw a party. I decided I just had to scan it in to share and realized there were one or two other things I'd been planning on scanning in and so decided to make a project of it. The end result is a new section on my site called: fun stuff. I'll toss pictures and scans of funny things that catch my eye. To start things off there's the party book and the worst rave flyer ever.
