In a lot of ways, it makes sense that catalog companies like J. Crew (and probably Lands End?) are ones that are having a good deal of success with online. The methods for shopping online and via a catalog are very similar. Though I doubt the catalog will ever go away. I’m sure a lot of their sales come from people who have a catalog show up in the mail.
