I picked up Digweed’s latest mix CD MMII<\/A> about two weeks ago and have only now started to have time to listen to it. I really like it. It has the same kind of feel as his other stuff in some ways, but the overall tone is different. It’s a bit mellower, a very different sound, but still feels like Digweed.<\/P><\/p>\n

I’ve read a few reviews that didn’t like it because it didn’t sound enough like his other stuff. I think that is what I like most about it. I like when DJs show they have range, that they don’t just fit into a cookiecutter definition of ‘trance DJ’ or ‘house DJ’. That’s one reason I’m always looking for new music, experimenting with new styles. I hate to be classified like that.
