[<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ctnow.com\/entertainment\/tv\/hc-tveye1119.artnov19,1,5581202.column?coll=hc-headlines-tv\">CTnow.com (registration required)<\/a>]<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Um, just because the show is based on people from Japan does not make it Japanese Animation.  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cartoonnetwork.com\/tv_shows\/puffyamiyumi\/index.html\"><em>Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi<\/em><\/a> is a Cartoon Network original series.  As is the Powerpuff Girls.  They may be anime influenced, but that&#8217;s it.
