{"id":4632,"date":"2005-10-10T16:55:58","date_gmt":"2005-10-10T16:55:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ezoons.com\/?p=4632"},"modified":"2005-10-10T16:55:58","modified_gmt":"2005-10-10T16:55:58","slug":"squirrels_on_crack","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ezoons.com\/?p=4632","title":{"rendered":"Squirrels on Crack"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The idea of a squirrel on crack scares the crap out of me.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thesun.co.uk\/article\/0,,2-2005460823,00.html\">Squirrels go nuts on crack<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ezoons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/imported-legacy\/images\/2004\/10\/_picture_0,,2005461143,00.jpg\" height=\"260\" width=\"200\" border=\"0\" hspace=\"4\" vspace=\"0\" alt=\" Picture 0,,2005461143,00\" \/><br \/>\nsquirrels, digging up stashes<\/p>\n<p>SQUIRRELS are getting hooked on crack cocaine &#8212; hidden by addicts in gardens.<\/p>\n<p>They are digging up the stashes and eating the mega-addictive drug, which comes in small chunks.<\/p>\n<p>Several have been spotted behaving bizarrely in Brixton, South London, since a police blitz against pushers and users.<\/p>\n<p>One resident said: &#8220;My neighbour said dealers had used my garden to hide crack.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Just an hour earlier I&#8217;d seen a squirrel digging in the flower-beds.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It was ill-looking and its eyes looked bloodshot, but it kept on desperately digging. It seems a strange thing to say, but it seemed to know what it was looking for.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Crack squirrels are a recognised problem in America. They are common in parks used by addicts in New York and Washington DC. Should I be frightened?  The squirrels in my backyard always look a bit crazed and hyper.
