Here is the memorial that was given by Rebecca Blake.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gregory was always an easygoing baby and marched to
\nhis own drummer his entire life. As his sister, I
\nusually just followed along. I can remember giggling
\nwhen he and his school friend Brendan Fitzgerald put
\ndog food in cookies they were baking for school. They
\nhad marked the “dog food” cookies with foil. However,
\ntheir plan was doomed when Mom took the cookies out of
\nthe oven, saw the foil and took it off. When they got
\nto school and opened the package of cookies, they
\ncould not find the foil and realized they had to fess
\nup. Greg and his friend had to throw out the entire
\nbatch of cookies. Although, I think Mom would have
\nrather made them EAT the cookies.<\/p>\n

I also remember Greg and I got locked out of the house
\nand he said “not to worry” and had me follow him to
\nthe back of the house. He showed me a way to break
\ninto the basement through the window and pop it back
\nin…backwards. Well, we got busted hours later when
\nMom noticed the window was put in backwards and
\nthought someone had broken into the house.<\/p>\n

Over the years, I think he tried Mom and Dad’s
\npatience. He fell of his bike once and the neighbor
\nbrought him back home, dressed head to toe in
\nBand-Aids. Years later, he was eating a piece of bacon
\nwhile riding his bike, fell off and actually hurt his
\near pretty badly. I can clearly remember a neighbor
\nkid running in the house with the bloody piece of
\nbacon worried that it was Greg’s ear. Fortunately, it
\nwasn’t.<\/p>\n

I can remember falling off my bike and Greg coming to
\nmy rescue. I had some pretty bad scrapes and he
\ncleaned me up, picking every piece of gravel out of my
\narms because I refused to go to the doctor.<\/p>\n

He made the best chocolate chip cookie pie, the best
\nchocolate crackles and the best cosmopolitan I’ve ever
\nhad. He would also respond to my emails anytime I had
\na computer question.<\/p>\n

I know my parents rolled their eyes whenever his hair
\nchanged color, or when he had his ear pierced. I just
\nremember that he continued to march to his own beat.<\/p>\n

Greg touched more lives than anyone else I know. This
\nhas been eveident to us this past week reading the
\nendless comments from friends of Greg’s all over the
\nworld. I think for every person in this room, there
\nare at least 10 more we don’t even know about.<\/p>\n

As Greg’s family, we want to thank our friends and
\nfamily as well as Greg’s family for their support over
\nthe past several years and we invite you all back to
\nour home to help us to continue to remember Greg.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
