All my friends over on livejournal are taking this political compass test. It’s kind of interesting. I came up with:
Economic Left/Right: -4.50
Authoritarian/Libertarian: -3.44
I think this is where I might have placed myself.

Stolen from Nari’s site because it freaked the shit out of me is this picture. I too thought it looked doctored at first, but if you go to cnn.com and looked at the second crash footage and you can very clearly see it.
Ugs. I just couldn’t fall asleep last night. I think I finally did around 2. Which ment that the morning seemed to come awfully fast. It’s a beautiful day outside. I wish I could just find a nice park to go to, lay out in the sun away from everything and take a nice nap.
It’s been a fairly quiet day for updates. Things here are pretty quiet. I got to have dinner with one of my best friends, Emily, tonight. It was so good to just hang out and talk. We had sushi for dinner, which always helps my mood (ooops, I’ll have to post that to my livejournal).
So I had my regular appointment at the Lung Transplant Clinic today. Nothing much new. They’re glad that I’m exercising more. When I went in my oxygen sat level was at 81%. Yow. I hadn’t seen it that low in a bit, but it just shows how even with a 2 liter flow from my oxygen tank it may not be quite enough. I need to talk to my doctor about that. When they checked it again at the end of the appointment it was up at around 97%, which is much more normal. I definitely need to look into getting one of those little devices so that I can check it myself. There’s a neat little one that is small enough to put in your pocket that I may try and get.
I’m heading off to bed after what has been a very surreal day. I just saw footage of the second plane hitting the tower that I hadn’t seen before. It was taken by a cameraman down on the ground looking up. You see the plane just completely disappear in the building, and then a massage explosion. It almost doesn’t look real. I just rewound and watched it a few times. It is all insane. I first heard about this when listening to Howard Stern on my way into work. I was in shock and called my Dad, telling him to put on the TV. I knew he wouldn’t even have the news on. I realized just how ‘connected’ I am today. Between the radio and the internet I almost didn’t need to have the news on. I had a continually streaming report of the news coming in.
I never thought I’d see something like this in my lifetime. It was probably a hopefull view, but I think we are just so isolated from the world. At this point I need to turn the tv off and crawl into bed and hope to get some sleep. And I’m fairly sure it will not be a good sleep.
After a nap I’m catching up on news. I read this interesting article on Salon about the collapse of the WTC.
Ugs. This makes me feel so ill.
So at this point, most people probably know that the World Trade Center has been hit by planes. And from the sounds of it planes have hit the Pentagon too. I have to admit, I’m more then a bit freaked out, a bit scared. Someone just said nbc is reporting a car bomb exploding outside the state department (though this one is iffy). I don’t like this one bit. On the other side of it, the internet has been interesting in these last few hours. The news sites are basicly crippled by the amount of traffic coming in. On the other hand. I’m hanging out on DinoMUSH and have a continuous feed of the news coming into there.
Ugs.
Well, before I get to the serious stuff. I finally went to work out at the pulmonary rehab center at my hospital. I’d been putting it off for months because it required getting up at like 6am. But I really need to get back into shape. Trying to walk around the block with my oxygen tank just wasn’t enough. It was a great feeling to get some real exercise again.
