Ahh, sometimes my code skills aren’t that great.
I just tried to test giving my last post a cookie and it got caught in a nice endless loop giving it a TON of cookies. It’s fixed now. (sometimes I can be so absent minded!)

The other day friends of mine were talking about The Institute of Official Cheer. My favorite section is the ‘Interior Desecrators’ section, which includes ‘Ugly Rooms for Beautiful People‘. There is just too much good fun here. The Institute is part of Lileks, which is also full of much goodness.

I mentioned Utena yesterday. I got done watching the second DVD and now I’m quite annoyed. There are only two DVDs of it out so far and I’m not sure when a third might be expected. It’s really frustrating me because the last episode on the second disk was one of those ones that makes you want to see MORE.
At least the Utena movie is due out in November.

Keen new feature time. I’d noticed sites out there have ‘karma’ buttons for posts, so I decided to let people rank my posts too by giving them cookies (though I can change the name at a moment’s notice). So now you can change the ranking on a post by clicking on ++ or –.

Utena is so very bizzare. I’ve been watching the second DVD collection and it is just weird (but I like it).

Something about rainy days just completely saps all energy from me. I had a nice lunch today and got back to the office was cruising along and suddenly crashed hard. I feel like I could crawl under my bed and just take a good nap for a few hours. It’s also having the added effect of making me very unmotivated at work. I keep just staring at this policy I’m working on and my eyes just kind of lose focus.

So I just killed my Link of The Day links. I wasn’t updating it regularly. I’ll still post links as I find interesting ones, but I’m not gonna bother to do anything fancy with them.

Long weekends rule.
I feel quite nice and relaxed after this one. I got to do some fun things, and watch a bunch of DVDs. I’m finally a bit caught up on netflix DVDs, though I probably won’t have new ones till beginning of next week at this point. I’ve also been working through all the anime DVDs I have at the moment. Thankfully there isn’t much coming out in the near future, so I have a chance to catch up.
Of the ones I saw, the one I liked the most was El-Hazard. It was quite fun!

I just got back from the Apple Store that opened up near me. It’s quite nice inside and they have tons of toys to play with. Definitely a temptation to spend money. I did pick up something I’d wanted for a while though. It’s this USB audio input device called the iMic from Griffin Technology. One of the big downsides of my TiBook is that it doesn’t have an audio input, and this should handle that perfectly. Time for a remote broadcast!

Hmm.
It looks like another DJ may have risen into the ranks of my favorites. Lee Burridge just released under the nubreed series from Boxed. I’ve only gotten through the first half of the first CD, but I’ve been bouncing around the inside of my car to the whole thing. This CD has an amazing groove to it. It has the potential to be quite influential to me.
