Early Mel
Today I got my copy of Mad Max on DVD. I’m pretty psyched about this because it has the original australian voices. Originally when the movie was brought out in the US they dubbed it with american actors. As a result the movie has this kind of weird feel to it. From things I’ve read, hearing the original voices gives the movie a slightly different feel. I can’t wait to check it out.

More cool Radio stuff
Over on Dave’s Scripting news there was a mention today of Radio supporting the Blogger API. On initial look, this seems quite cool, and might be an interesting way to use Radio for all my client side blogging work.

I still have lots of things I need to read up on to do with development work with Radio. Do I really want to start immersing myself into this?

Mouse Hunt
Someone pointed me at this page about someone’s experiences with mouse problems. The timing was quite apropriate because an online friend of mine is also having mouse problems

Recent Images of Life

I thought I’d group these two together since they both come from the same weekend. I mentioned my new comforter yesterday. Here’s a picture of it. It’s purple, but not really a solid purple. It actually looks much better in my room then my old comforter, which was functional, but looked like crap. The one thing that I’m realizing now is that I need something on the walls in my bedroom. I’m not sure what will do the job right though. I’ll have to see what I can dig up.

And it snowed yesterday! While the snow was coming down it was quite impressive actually. But unfortunately, it was quite wet and slushy and didn’t really last that long. I want a nice snow so that I can head out and snap a picture first thing in the morning of a snow covered street. I love that first thing in the morning silence after a big snowfall. It is so peaceful.

Considering a New Digital Camera
My current digital camera is an old Olympus D-340R. It does okay, but it’s a bit older, and doesn’t quite interface with current software. It requires me to jump through some hoops currently to download my pictures.

So I want to replace it. But I don’t want to spend a lot. I’m looking to spend $300 at the most. Is it possible to get something that is pretty decent for that price? At the very least something that is better then the camera I have now?

End of day musings
I got a new comforter yesterday, it is quite cool looking I think. I’ll post pictures when I get into work tomorrow.

I’m planning on crashing in about 10 minutes because I need to wake up early and go to pulmonary rehab maintenance. It’s been about a month since I’ve gone so I’m starting to feel it a bit. This was also kind of a resolution of mine to go regularly this year, but it just hasn’t quite worked out.

I watched Rush Hour 2 tonight and it was quite enjoyable. It didn’t work for me quite as well as the first one, but it was still pretty good. The DVD also supposedly has a bunch of different features that I want to look into.

Off to sleep now.

WHOOOOOOOSH
Damn is it windy out. Every 5 minutes or so my windows rattle noisily and make me jump. I hope it calms down by morning.

Spring Cleaning?
So it isn’t yet spring, but I’m doing the cleaning for it already. I have this stack of records that I need to get rid of and I’m just not quite sure what to do with them. I was thinking about bringing them to a used record store, but at this point I’m ready to just toss them. It’s a lot of old crappy music that I bought when I first started spinning.

At first I thought that maybe it was some of the more melodic trance stuff I used to play. No, this stuff is just crap. So i think in the end I’m going to end up just having a friend help me carry it all out to the dumpster tomorrow.

Lava Lamp
So I was at Target today and they had these el-cheapo lava lamps. They were only $20, so I decided to pick one up. It’s not as cool as the real thing, I’ll get one of those eventually, but it will do until then. It’s pretty cool. They say to run it for at least six hours the first time, so I have it churning away, and it’s doing the lava thing.

It is yet another thing to make my apartment look funky. I’ll have more pictures soon.
