Goof Corrected?
It looks like Time Canada has pulled the apple story for the time being. This is the second time in recent history that Time has released a story a bit too early. Though, I have to say that with the exception of that goof apple has done a pretty good job of keeping things quiet about the iMac. It doesn’t look like any of the stuff I’ve seen on the rumors sites.

Oops, someone goofed
Apple was keeping a big announcement very hush hush for tomorrow. They’d even been leading up to it all week on their web site. Well, it looks like Time Canada let the cat out of the bag. The new machine that Apple is announcing is their new iMac. I have to say, it’s pretty funky looking. I like the idea of it though I think. I’ll have to read more about it as more details are released. -

Jess just called and her and her bf are coming down for brunch. Looks like I’ll need to wake myself up after all. -

A lazy sleepy day
I just woke up about an hour ago, got my ass kicked by Seymour (again), and think it may be time to go back to sleep. I haven’t heard from my cousin’s at all, so I’m thinking they may actually be out of town or something.Seems like a good excuse to sleep.

A Promising Movie, Ruined
My friend Angela and I went to see Kate & Leopold this afternoon. I usually tend to enjoy the whole light romantic comedy genre, and in many ways I enjoyed this one. But the ending was just a bit rushed and had one big huge plot hole/screwup that it detracted from my really enjoying the movie. (I wish I had a good way to post spoilers on here so I could vent about it, but I’ll spare everyone). -

That redecorating bug
So I’m doing a little rearranging about my apartment and it is just too tiring. Normally it wouldn’t be too bad, but I’m moving the shelves where my records are, which means of course, moving hundreds of records at the same time. So I move a little bit of stuff, take a break, move a bit of stuff, take a break, etc.I think in the long ring it will be worth it though. My next big apartment thing to get is some kind of entertainment unit that will hold all the crap I have and give me room for expansion. Something that has a level of cable management would be most helpful too, as I’m doing all kinds of wacky things behind my stereo. How come nobody has come up with an entertainment system that holds everything, gives you good access to things when you need to rewire, and looks nice. My parents have this one that is really nice, it’s a cabinet that you open up and the tv is on one side and the components are on the other. Once again though, the problem is that rewiring anything in it is a pain in the ass because it is HEAVY, so you can’t move anything.
Anyone got any suggestions?

The Friday Five
1. You’ve just won a complete collection of movies staring one actor – what actor would you pick? Oh my this is a hard question. I’d probably have to say Cary Grant. Because he rules and that would also just give such an amazing range of movies. (I think my goal for picking my prize would be trying to find an actor that would get me the most movies :))2. What was the last movie you saw in a theatre amelie – I am so waiting for this to come out on DVD.
3. What was the last video or DVD that you bought? The most recent DVD I got was Rurouni Kenshin – Wandering Samurai (the first disc of the series).
4. What movie could you watch over and over again and not get sick of? That one is a tie. Between The Philadelphia Story and The Cutting Edge.
5. How do you plan to spend your weekend? Well, after these questions, I’m feeling like hitting at least one movie. I still want to see Vanilla Sky. I also need to try and get further in Final Fantasy X

Blogrolling thoughts
Well, I’ve noticed a few sites have been dropping to the bottom of my blogrolling list and have been trying to figure out how to handle it. The Mac Scripting News site does still get updated almost daily, but I figure the person running it just doesn’t bother. I should eventually just make it fall off into unmonitored until they do start pinging. One interesting side effect of this is I have a tendancy not to look at a ‘monitored’ site unless I see that it’s been updated. I use my home page as much as a starting place for myself as I do for other people to explore. I just went to Adam’s site to find that he had been updating it! Time to catch up!

Angelic Layer
I was just about to leave work for home and remembered I had the last episode of Angelic Layer in my bag. So I just popped it in to watch it. I have to say that I really enjoyed this series. It’s a little bit cutesy at times, but was just very enjoyable to watch. I’m very thankful to the folks doing fansubs for doing this show. For more info on the show, check out the Angelic Layer Battle Command. Now we’ll just have to wait and see if anyone picks up this series to distribute in the US, though I’d guess it won’t be anytime soon since this show is so new.

SCORPIO (Oct 23-Nov 21) –
SCORPIO (Oct 23-Nov 21) – Week of January 3, 2002
The cosmic powers have an amusing challenge in store for you in 2002, Scorpio. But don’t worry, I’ll be laughing with you, not at you, as I watch you wrestle with your dual assignment: 1. Learn how to be innocent again, only on a higher, smarter level than you were earlier in your life. 2. Figure out how you can sincerely muster a fresh, updated capacity for having faith. The new models of both innocence and faith must not be anything like your old ones. You can’t cultivate an ironic or distanced relationship with them. They have to work well for the deep, complex, discriminating person you have become.(– Courtesy of Free Will Astrology –)
