    More Radio
Speaking of Radio, Adam has a neat bit today about how he is customizing his desktop homepage. This is the kind of thing that I’ve been thinking of doing with Radio since I downloaded it.

    Tuning in
While waking up this morning I suddenly figured out one reason Radio appeals to me. It’s new and there are all kinds of neat things to figure out in it. It reminds me of the early days of MUDs, when many of the servers were just being designed and nobody quite knew everything you could do with them. There’s a lot of cool exploring going on. Even though everything may not work exactly right, it’s getting fixed and tweaked like crazy.

That being say, there is a small frustration level I’m having with it. I still can’t reliably push things upstream. Adam Curry is supposedly posting some notes on what he did today, so maybe that will provide some insight for my problem. And on that note, it’s time for breakfast.

    Radio WIsh

I wish I knew if I could easily change the hope page interface so that when posting I could put in a topic for each post, kind of like I do by hand. It would just be a nice little shortcut to have.

    Once Again

I find myself up late. Thinking about going to sleep again soon. I seem to wake up along right in the two o’clock hour. A friend of mine online said that must be when the brainwashing tape needs to be changed. They haven’t gotten rid of the ‘click’ when the tape stops.

    A day of whining
OW! My back has been in a tight knot for the last day or two. I want it to just finally relax. I’m relaxing and not overdoing it at the moment.

    One of those days
I’m feeling a bit out of sorts today. I think I may just need to crawl back into bed and nap and read. Bleh.

    Going Pro?
Blogger has officially opened up Blogger Pro for business. It offers a fairly nice service for around $50/month (but if you sign up (but if you sign up right now it’s only $35). You get priority access to servers, added security (posting via scp is coming soon!), and a couple of other features (with a long list of others coming soon).

This sets up some interesting decisions for me. I’m currently playing around with Radio and I’m really liking the looks of it. The hard part is they both handle the same thing, but not quite in the same way. I’m thinking I might give it a try for a year, since I use it for multiple things, and it does handle the whole group blog thing quite well.

Here’s Dave’s announcement on the categories feature I mentioned earlier: New Radio 8 feature. Now you can post to categories without posting to the home page. If you have categories enabled, there’s a new checkbox, the first one, called Home Page (it effectively becomes a category). By default it’s checked. Now you can easily publish multiple weblogs, going to lots of different locations, from one edit box. Screen shot.  [Dave Winer: Radio UserLand]
