  • One last thing before I

One last thing before I go back to bed. Here’s the next feature I want. The ability to add files into my www directory remotely via Radio. On the menu bar for the web interface there’s this option ‘Folder’ that shows you the contents of that directory. Now, about 85% of the time I’m local to the machine running radio. Which is find and dandy. If I want to tweak a file in www I can easily. But the rest of the time I’m accessing Radio remotely over the web, and if I want to change a template or something I need to wait or ssh into my machine or something.

I was thinking it would be real cool if I could upload new files and new versions of files into that directory via the Radio web interface. (NOTE: I am not talking about upstreaming. I am talking about putting files into the directory that everything upstreams from).

In other Radio news. It is great to see userland working so hard on the OS X issues. It now looks like some of the problems might have to do with my airport card, which seems kinda weird to me.

The nice thing is that they are working hard on this. I’m trying to do my best to provide adequate feedback because I want to see this fixed soon :).

  • I haven’t posted here in

I haven’t posted here in a few days, because I haven’t had a ton to say. First off. Big things to the userland crew for being so attentive on things people are asking for.

The other day I was trying to figure out categories because they were missing one major thing, the ability to post to just one category and NOT have it go into your primary blog. Well, tonight I’m awoken by noisy people outside, and when I happen to check online I see that this is now a feature of Radio. ROCK.

    a cool experiment
I found a link to this over on The Mirror Project. It’s the 1000 Journal Project. According to the about section on the site, The1000journalproject is an independent, privately funded social experiment. It is an attempt to follow 1000 journals throughout their travels, to see where they go, and what people do with them.. I’ve signed up for one. I think it definitely seems quite cool. I’m already thinking of what I could do with one if I get it.

  • SCORPIO (Oct 23-Nov 21) –

    SCORPIO (Oct 23-Nov 21) – Week of January 24, 2002
There’s an old fable about a scorpion that gets a frog to ferry her across a river, promising not to sting him. Halfway across, the scorpion stings the frog anyway. “Why did you do that?” asks the frog. “Now we’ll both drown.” “I can’t help it,” says the scorpion. “I’m a scorpion. I was born to sting.” Alas, that’s the way the tale ends in its original form. Let’s hope that by telling you this tale, I have helped prevent you from carrying it out in real life. (P.S. In the modern version of the story, how about if we make it so the scorpion refrains from stinging until reaching the other side, where she finds a video game that allows her to sting a thousand virtual bad guys?)
